Man the Creator
This is the area of Theme treatment that
brings into relation the visual arts and the story of Man and his
World.
Its function is to show the artistic and creative abilities of Man in Fine Arts, Contemporary Sculpture, Photography and Industrial Design. Presentations are so designed and conceived as to enable the visitor to acquire a comprehensive idea of the scope and role of each of the four constituent artistic disciplines. All exhibits have an international content to illustrate the universality of art, the role of many peoples who have found in art their means of significant expression. The International Exhibition of Fine Arts, International Exhibition of Fine Photography and Exhibition of Industrial Design are in Cité du Havre, and the International Exhibition of Contemporary Sculpture is on Ile Sainte-Hélène close to the island's Métro station. Cité du Havre is served by Expo-Express stations at Place d'Accueil and Habitat. The main entrance to Expo 67 is in this area. A trailer train provides connection between points in the Cité du Havre sector of the exhibition. Click here to see a map of the Man the Creator floor plan.
