10,000,000th visitor MONTRÉAL (CP) - The world's fair welcomes Prime Minister Harold Holt of Australia today after passing its 10,000,000th visitor through the turnstiles Monday night. Roger Beaudet of suburban Laval became the 10,000,000th person to pass through Expo gates at 7:38 p.m. Monday and his luck was rewarded with a free four-day air trip to any Canadian city on flying routes serviced by Air Canada. The attendance figure reached so far is way ahead of the total forecast attendance of 6,527,940 predicted by fair officials prior to the official opening of Expo on April 27. Crowds continued to pour into the Expo site and by 11 p.m. Monday night 119,112 persons had passed through the turnstiles for a grand total of 10,014,491 since the opening. - End of article.
