You are looking at the oldest galloping carousel in the world.  Le Galopant carousel was built in 1885, in Lièg, Belgium. From March to October, the galloping carousel turned up at various fairs. However, during the summer timeframe the galloping carousel was used for the Dolhain-Limbour celebration. It eventually came to the New York's World's Fair in 1964-65 and then to Montreal for Expo 67. Today it is a regular feature attraction at La Ronde which is owned and operated by Six Flags Incorporated, a company from the United States.
