The following is an excerpt from
the museum information leaflet that was handed out to the audience on
opening day... 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Ceremonial Parade: Led by Town Crier Daniel Richer, accompanied by the Armed Forces Central Band and the RCMP Pipe Band, the Parade is truly multicultural event. More than 14 country representations in full dress with music and pageantry will perform as they make their way to the Museum. The Parade will also feature historical figures, museum partners from coast to coast, community partners, celebrities and much more! (Parade Route: Starts at Ottawa City Hall, down Lisgar, to Metcalfe, to McLeod, to Museum) 11:30 a.m. - Noon Official Unveiling Ceremony (Location: Main Entrance) |
