The baby in the
picture is part of the thematic presentation at the British Pavilion.
There is similar photograph on the web taken by different individual that
confirms this. In his book, "Remember Expo", Robert Fulford
described this presentation under the heading: "Philosophy in art: the
presence of a greater being?" and made the following remark: "The giant
aluminum figures dominated the fifth and last chamber of the British
Pavilion. These weird, compelling beings inspired conflicting moods in
visitors: first, of man dominating the world, and of man himself dwarfed."
Thus, the juxtaposition of the baby looking towards the sculptures made a
visitor think about how man has been placing himself in society.
